This Privacy Policy explains how Weiwen Tech Co., Ltd. (偉雯科技有限公司, Tax ID 97549948; "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites and mobile applications, including eatmoji (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: email address, display name, profile photo;
- Profile details you enter such as age, sex, height, weight, and dietary goals;
- Content you submit: meal photos, food entries, notes, and chat messages;
- Support communications and feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Device and log information (device model, OS version, language, crash reports);
- Usage analytics (feature use, session length, screen views);
- Approximate location derived from IP address.
Information from third parties
- Sign-in providers (Apple, Google) — basic profile information you authorize;
- Payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play) — purchase status (we do not receive card numbers).
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
- To compute nutrition estimates, personalized targets, and AI-generated suggestions;
- To process subscriptions and manage entitlements;
- To communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues;
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI Processing
Some features use third-party AI providers (such as Google Vertex AI / Gemini) to analyze content you submit, for example a meal photo. Content is transmitted to these providers solely to generate a response and is not used by us to train third-party models without your consent. We may retain processed results in your account so you can review your history.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, AI inference, payments) under contracts that limit their use of the data;
- With Apple and Google for purchase verification;
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and property;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to this policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You can delete your account and associated data from within the app or by emailing privacy@weiwentech.app. Some information may be retained for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@weiwentech.app. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us to request deletion.
8. International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required by law.
